WARNING!!!! My Nephew Zane submitted some pretty hilarious picnic GoPro footage ..... from a picnic we threw in April for my little brother's surprise birthday party. I was a tad nervous about it after his explanation. Until I watched the footage. And laughed, non-stop, for the entire 45 seconds. This might be the most hilarious footage I've ever seen of myself (trust me, there's plenty of footage out there). I'm waiting to exhale for some blackmail footage to show up in my future.
Why a picnic? Because it's fun ..... and it might just pull you out of a rut, or change the life of someone around you. A picnic is a perfect environment to interrupt the summer blues. It's also good for food & friendship. I couldn't help but share the unexpected muses that showed up early this Winter when I was having a really rough week. My friends Ethan, Carter & Faye reminded me of the power in picnic. Enjoy the first episode of Alexander TV this series.
My weekend picnic extended into Monday. And I certainly knew YOU'D understand. I couldn't bear to leave the magic and lessons & Mr. Big made it early (if you're foggy on the Mr. Big reference, add the HBO series, Sex & The City, to your play list).
I spent my first night, ever, camping alone, next to the ocean. We'll talk about this soon, but remember, for now, before we dissect your capability of being comfortable with your alone-ness, and paying attention to your life, and diving deep within to find the subtle music & symphonies .....
Let's dive in. Series two has a thesis: pay attention to your life. That's right! Your life. I'm asking you to cultivate a stronger sense of listening and observing you. And your life. It's so easy to get wrapped up and distracted in other people's lives these days. It's super, super tricky with all the social media. And before you know it, you're probably eating a double-double comparison, I'm-never-going-to be-good-enough-burger, animal style. Trust me, it's heavy on the stomach and the soul.
