Find Your Beach

I've a new philosophy, a mindful one.
One of the reasons I live in Southern California is for the beach.
In order to live for today, and this moment, I love to playfully distract myself from the never-ending push to produce and do more.

Here's my thinking: If the temperature is 80 degrees from October to April -- get to the beach. Even if it's only for your lunch break. May through September, if it's 90 degrees, plant yourself on the sand for several hours and work it out. Call it a mental health or sick day: "I have an appointment with my doctor."

I love to bring my sketchbook & draw. This is my new spot, near West Street, in South Laguna. On a lovely Sunday afternoon we were graced by whales.

A quote from Joseph Campbell that's insanely juicy!
