Working-Weekends

I have a new concept and it's changing my art. It's called a working-weekend, and I'm finding it incredibly easy to find people to play with. Most recently, my dear friend & artist, Rockford Orvin came to see me. We had the most incredible weekend of playing, meditating, drawing, catching up, and diving even deeper into the work-play balance of our lives.

We had the most amazing Saturday night picnic under the stars listening to Harry Connick Jr. and his players jam. At the Hollywood Bowl. And got lost at the Santa Monica Pier on a sunny Sunday late afternoon.

We took a three hour figure study at the Tom of Finland Foundation and I was able to practice my figures. All I can say is that last Summer when I started drawing figures, I felt so much creative freak out about it. My first attempts below & my recent work, after a whole lot of practice, discipline and courage.
